Mr. John W. Cole

Mr. John Wesley Cole, 55, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away unexpectantly Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at his home.

John was born March 25, 1969 in Galesburg the son of Frederick L. and Jean (Morss)Cole.

He graduated from Spoon River High School and went on to work for Great Dane Manufacturing in Kewanee. John enjoyed the outdoors, especially being around a bonfire or grilling with friends.

John is survived by his daughter, Destany Cole of Galesburg; his son, Christopher John Beard; his brother, Frederick K. Cole of Galesburg; his sister, Catherine Engstrom of Missouri; and three nieces, Cathy Flynt, Carissa Cokel and Caitlin Hiller and his significant other, Tonya Strong.

John’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services are assisting his family with arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.h-p-w.com
