Mr. Kenneth N. Melton

Mr. Kenneth Neils Melton, 77, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 10:53 am Monday, November 16, 2020 at his home.

He was born December 31, 1942 in Galesburg the son of Fred Neils and Dorothy May (Johnson) Melton.

Kenneth is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Greene of Oquawka, Illinois and Melvin (Marilyn) Johnson of Hanna City, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kermit Green and his sister, Nadine Watters.

Kenny grew up in Galesburg and attended Galesburg schools. He had attended the First Baptist Church in his earlier years.  Kenny enjoyed walking with his walking stick all around town visiting his friends at different stores. He had many friends, was very social and had the gift of gab. Kenny had a love for German Shepherd dogs and had adopted several for himself over time.

Private family graveside services will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Daniel Siems officiating. There will be no visitation planned. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services are assisting his family with arrangements.
