Michael D. Tate, 81, died July 17, 2024.

Michael was born August 13, 1942 in Galesburg IL, the son of the late William E. and Evelyn M. Tate. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1960 and attended the Air Force Academy. Mike built a career in sales and then was a successful home builder in the Atlanta Georgia area. He retired to the mountains of North Georgia with his wife Brenda and loved spending time with his family and his hobbies of golf and RC Planes.

Mike is survived by his brother, David Tate of Galesburg and Cousin Nancy Parish of Knoxville.  2 nieces and 2 nephews, children of his late brother William M. Tate, 4 great nieces and nephews, 3 stepdaughters and 5 step grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
