Michael “Mike” Craig Foutch, 54 of Abingdon, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 26, 1966 in Galesburg, the son of Jesse E. Foutch, Sr. and Patricia Ann (Lewis) Foutch.
Mike is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Allan Christoffersen of Abingdon; one brother, Jesse E. “Butch” Foutch, Jr. of Galesburg; two sisters, Rachel L. (and Mike) Forbis of Pekin and Katherine L. Okrzesik of Galesburg; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He has lived in the Abingdon area most of his life and worked at Pioneer Seed Company in Woodhull, Adams Pressed Metal in Galesburg and he mostly worked at United Facilities in Galesburg. He had lived in San Francisco, California for a time in his early years and worked at Pacific Gas & Electric.
Mike loved music, especially the hottest band in the world, “KISS”. He enjoyed movies, drawing, Batman, reading, cooking, animals and anything with blueberries. He loved to walk all over Abingdon and he would visit with anyone who would stop him. He loved his family and spent lots of time with them and his closest friends. He was very well liked and his big heart will be greatly missed.
Cremation was accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the home of Pat & Allan Christoffersen, 207 W. Pearl St. in Abingdon. All friends and family are invited to attend, share stories and memories. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with his arrangements.
