Obituary
Mr. Phillip L. “Tiny” Sundell, 65, of Abingdon, Illinois died 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his home.
He was born May 7, 1957, in Galesburg to Phillip L. and Peggy J. (Horton) Goudschaal. His father preceded him in death.
Surviving are his parents, Robert W. and Peggy J. Sundell of Abingdon, two sisters, Janice (and Jim) Anderson of Roseville, Illinois and Lona Goudschaal of California, a niece Jennifer (and Dan) Proczko and two nephews, Matthew Anderson and Michael Anderson.
Phillip graduated from Abingdon High School in 1976. He worked for Huffy Bicycle Company as an assembler. He later worked as an associate at Walmart in Peoria, Illinois for several years. He enjoyed painting and collecting and watching science fiction movies, especially Star Wars. Most of all, he loved to ride his bicycles all around town and beyond.
Cremation will be accorded. No service is planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the family. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
