Mr. Richard Miller Sr., 75, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away Friday,October 10, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 2, 1950 in Galesburg, the son of Clyde and Erma (Swank) Miller. He married Eva Lynn Carson on July 27, 1968, at the Knox County Courthouse, and she survives.

He is also survived by a son, Richard Miller (and Nikki) Jr. of Tremont, Illinois; daughter, Tina Lynn Benedict of Galesburg; grandchildren, Ryan Miller (and Arie) of Galesburg; Chris Miller (and Victoria) of Abingdon, Illinois; Josh Miller (and Kaily) of Knoxville, Illinois; Brooke Benedict (and Aaron) of Nashville, Tennessee; Angel Miller of Plymouth, Illinois; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Steve Miller, sisters, Linda Manion and Marilyn Miller, and son in law, Danny Benedict.

Richard attended Galesburg Schools. He owned M&M Painting as a self-employed painter for 45 years. He loved to play pool, fishing, the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs. He enjoyed 60’s muscle cars, he owned a 1964 Chevy for over 37 years. He was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church, Galesburg.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.
