Mr. Sidney D. Genisio

Mr. Sidney Donald Genisio, 55, of Galesburg, Illinois, died on Monday January 3, 2022 at 11:56 a.m., in his home.

Sidney started his journey on January 31, 1966, in Galesburg, as the son of Daniel E. and Linda F. (Armstrong) Genisio. He was raised by his step mother, Carol S. Asmussen throughout his childhood.

He is survived by his step mother, Carol, his six brothers, Danny, Herb, Henry, Joe, Jim, and Kenny Genisio, along with his three sisters, Judy Duck, Jennifer Cox, and Glenna Anderson. He is preceded in death by his father Daniel and biological mother, Linda.

Sidney graduated from ROWVA in 1984 and went on to become a Mechanic for over 30 years. During his free time, Sidney enjoyed volunteering at the KCCDD, helping his community and developing lasting relationships. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Sidney’s wishes were to be donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
