Mr. Timothy J. Wunder

Mr. Timothy J. Wunder, 44 of rural Gilson, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at home following a courageous battle against Pancreatic cancer and surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born June 16, 1975 in Galesburg, the son of Robert and Linda (Peck) Wunder.  He married Nicole Sackfield in 1998 and they later divorced.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Rachel Wunder of Knoxville; his parents, Bob and Linda Wunder of rural Gilson; his companion, Jessica Hensley; his sister, Jeannie Ennis of  rural Gilson; his brother, Joseph (and Annette Holeman) Wunder of Dahinda; his nieces, Cecelia (and Tom) Boone, Brittany Ennis, Sara Wunder, and Bella Wunder; his nephews, Nickolas Wunder and Dalton Brown; one great-nephew due in April; and aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Tim attended Knoxville Schools and later earned his GED.  He later attended Carl Sandburg College, where he earned his welding certificate in 2012.  He worked at Maytag, Lasco Ford in Fenton, Michigan, Web Tech Fusion in Roseville and Laguria Foods.  His hobbies included fishing, lifting weights, working out, welding, going to the Hard Rock Casino and he especially enjoyed talking to his daughter, Rachel, on the phone.

As he requested, cremation will be accorded.  To celebrate his life, his family will receive relatives and friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Knoxville American Legion.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting his family with arrangements.
