Mr. Vincent J. Branyik

Mr. Vincent J. Branyik, Sr., 66, of Abingdon, Illinois Passed away at 2:17 pm, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Vincent was born May 31, 1959, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Vilmos and Karen (Hall) Branyik. He married Beverly Gorst in 1991 in Galesburg, Illinois.

He is survived by a daughter, Kya Branyik of Wausau, Wisconsin; a brother, Matthew (and Shannon) Branyik of Abingdon; a sister, Karen Branyik; nieces and nephews and an aunt and uncle. He is also survived by a close friend, Kathleen Shanahan of Abingdon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Vincent Branyik Jr.

Vincent graduated from Dunlap High School in 1977. He worked at the former Abingdon Pottery Plant as a guard. He enjoyed music, cooking out, movies and gambling.

Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Meridian Cemetery, Berwick, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Feed My Lambs.
