Mr. Zachary Petersimes Obituary

Zachary Alen Petersimes, 36, of Galesburg, died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at home.

He was born July 1, 1982, in Galesburg, the son of Don Alen and Karen Ann (Barton) Petersimes.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Petersimes of Galesburg; his father, Don Petersimes of Saratoga Springs, New York; two sons, Blake A. Mason and Ezekiel A. Petersimes, and their mother, Katrina Mason, all of Galesburg; daughter, Brianna Petersimes and her mother, Brandy Simer, both of East Peoria; daughter, Bailey Hopping of Galesburg; his ex-wife and best friend, Brandi Amick, and her daughter, Grace, of Galesburg; a sister, Jamie Garrison of Galesburg; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Madison Petersimes and his grandparents.

Zach had worked as a cook at area restaurants, including Buffalo Wild Wings and Crappy’s.  He most recently worked as painter for Spectrum Painting.  He graduated from Carl Sandburg College with a degree in Automotive Technology, where he was awarded with highest honors.

Zach enjoyed drawing and working on cars.

Cremation will be accorded.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling cremation arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
