Mrs. Alice Gail (Johnson) Lovdahl

Mrs. Alice G. Lovdahl, 60, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her home. 

She was born September 10, 1957 in Rushville, Illinois the daughter of John and Marjorie Toach Johnson. She married Thomas E. Lovdahl on June 8, 1990 in Galesburg.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas of Galesburg; her son, Travis Cannady of Tucson, Arizona; four daughters, Angela (Eli) Smith of Galesburg, Shannon (Mike) Hayward of Clinton, Illinois, Tami (Mike) Wilckens of Oneida, Illinois and Jennifer Lovdahl of Clinton, Illinois; three brothers, Steve Johnson of Galesburg, Jim Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona and Larry Johnson of Chester, Illinois; her mother-in-law, Sarah (Joe) Beckman of Belvidere, Illinois; her daughter-in-law, Natasha Wyman of Galesburg; seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jason Johnson and Patrick “PJ” Fegan, one grandson, Cyris Cannady and her sister, Beulah “Sissy” Gouvstis.

Alice worked as a certified nurse’s aide for several years at several area nursing homes. She also worked for Galesburg Electric. She attended Galesburg and Abingdon schools. She received her CNA certificate from Carl Sandburg College.  Alice’s true joy was her grandchildren and crocheting each of them a special blanket.

Funeral services are scheduled for Noon Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Galesburg. Pastor Rodney Fegan will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, June 1, 2018 at the chapel. Cremation will follow services. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
