Amber L. Webber, 55, of Galesburg, died at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at home.

She was born February 16, 1962, in Moline, the daughter of Robert L. and Sally A. (Carlton) Moran.  She married James K. Webber on May 14, 1983, in Alexis.

She is survived by her husband of over 34 years, Jim; a son, Lester Webber and his girlfriend, Trish Leonard, of Galesburg, Lester’s children, Isiah James Ingram, Mia Marie Webber, Michelle Mea Webber, and Maci Morane Webber, and Trish’s children, Nevaeh Leonard and Tristian Leonard; a son, Andrew Webber and his wife, Amanda, of Oneida, and their children, Mason Thomas Webber, Jaxon Lee Webber, and Anderson James Webber; her daughter-in-heart, Cheantey and husband, Kirk Gunderson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and their children, Keith Gunderson, Kyla Gunderson, and Kaylis Gunderson; her mother’s second husband, Richard Krantz of Moline; two sisters, JoLynn and husband, Jim Boyd of Colona and Tina Gerlich of Thompson Station, Tennessee, who provided Amber with a niece, Samantha Gerlich and a nephew, Paul Gerlich and his wife, Kelsey.  Amber’s brother, Robert P. Moran preceded her in death, but left Amber with four nieces.  There are also several great nieces and great nephews surviving, along with members of Jim’s family.  In addition to her brother, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Amber was raised and educated in Galesburg until her senior year when her family returned to the Quad Cities, where she graduated from Rock Island High School in 1980.  She went on to attend classes at Carl Sandburg College.

She worked at the Galesburg Register-Mail for 15 years, as district manager and circulation assistant.  She later worked for the City of Galesburg as a handivan driver.

Amber was of Christian faith.  She was devoted to her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and she and Jim went to games three times a year.
