Annetta is survived by her son, Daniel (Janet) Bowton of Mahomet, Illinois; her daughter, Majorie Bowton of Abingdon; six grandchildren, Teresa (Chris) Suchomel and Susan Young both of Iowa City, Iowa, Kelly (Michael) Goldberg of Auburndale, Florida, Melinda (Todd) Hull of Effingham, Illinois, Debra Rafferty of Abingdon and Michael Rafferty of Keller, Texas; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and her daughter-in-law, Linda Bowton of Iowa City. Annetta worked alongside her husband and their business, Jim’s Gamble Store, for many years. She had also worked for Hedding Grade School and Shanks Clothing Store. Annetta enjoyed working at the Care Center of Abingdon as a CNA. She was a member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church and the Harry E. Wiles Abingdon American Legion Auxiliary Post #381.
Annetta had a deep love for gardening and working in her yard. She had mowed her own lawn well into her 80’s and found pure joy with her self-propelled lawn mower. She had a beautiful flower garden that many enjoyed driving by her home to view.
