Mrs. B. Deanne "Dee" (Dillon) Cherrington

Mrs. B. Deanne “Dee” Cherrington, 62, of Galesburg, Illinois died peacefully at 5:48 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 29, 1963, in Galesburg to Charles J and Betty Jo (Bybee) Dillon.  She married David Cherrington, Sr. on February 19, 1988, in Pheonix, Arizona. 

Surviving is her husband of 37 years, David Cherrington of Galesburg, a son, David Cherrington, Jr. of Galesburg, a daughter, Shelby (and Blake) Woodruff of Knoxville, Illinois, a special daughter, Ashley (and Chad) Myler of Galesburg, a brother, Charles “Jimmy” Dillon, Jr. of Galesburg, three sisters, Toni Sams of Macomb, Illinois, Jessica (and Missi) Wheeler of Galesburg, and Kay Dillion of Galesburg, and four grandchildren, Haiden Cherrington, Harper Cherrington, Case Woodruff, and Sawyer Myler.  She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty Jo and Jim Lewis and her father, Charles James Dillon.

Dee graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1981.  She worked at Dick Blick Art Material in the credit department from 2007 to 2025.  She enjoyed growing flowers in her flower beds and relaxing in her pool.  She and her husband loved celebrating their anniversary by traveling to several tropical destinations over the years.  She will be missed by her family and friends. 

As Dee requested, cremation will be accorded.  A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
