Mrs. Becky Sue (Hoots) Marshall

Mrs. Becky Sue Marshall, 48, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 8:25 am, Tuesday December 15, 2020 at her home after a nine year courageous fight with cancer.

Becky was born December 12, 1972 in Galesburg the daughter of Leroy “Bud” and Bonnie (Williams) Hoots. She married Randy Marshall on May 21, 2005 in Galesburg.

She is survived by her husband, Randy of Galesburg; her parents, Bud and Bonnie Hoots of Galesburg; her five children, Christopher (April) Marshall, Cory Marshall, Ashley (Chad Myler) Cherrington, Nathan (Katie) Marshall, Katie Marshall, Randy Lee Marshall and Dylan Marshall all of Galesburg; her three brothers, Randy (Tawnya) Austin of Tool, Texas, Rick (Brenda) Austin of Wataga, Illinois and Lonnie Hoots of Galesburg; her sisters, Laurie (Dave) Cottom of Knoxville and Robin Hoots of Canton, Illinois; nine grandchildren and her three special friends, Missy Brock, Donnette Ennis and Candi German. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Doris Agans and her step brother, John Bair.

Becky graduated from Galesburg High School in 1991 and began working for Sirloin Stockade from 1992-2007. In that time she put herself through nursing school graduating from Carl Sandburg in 2007. Becky found her calling as a registered nurse, working at OSF St. Mary Medical Center. She was a member of the Northwoods Community Church. Becky enjoyed photography in her spare time but especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

A Celebration of Becky's life is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday May 1, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Cremation was accorded. Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required.  Memorials may be made to the Dylan Marshall Trust Account, c/o Tompkins State Bank.
