Mrs. Bonnie J. Halliburton, 82, of Galesburg passed away 11:00 am Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Aperion Care.
She was born September 15, 1936 in Galesburg the daughter of Charles Everett and Dorothea (Yates) Gray. She married George “Randall” Halliburton on April 10, 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Randall of Galesburg; her three sons, Richard (Michelle) Halliburton of Scottsville, Kentucky, Tim Halliburton of Galesburg and David Halliburton of Livingston, Montana; her daughter, Lorie Halliburton of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Zachary, Emily and Austin Halliburton, Nathan Strange and Juliana Halliburton; three nieces and one nephew. Bonnie is preceded in death by her twin sister, Verda and her brother, Larry Gray.
Bonnie graduated from Knoxville High School in 1954 and attended the Bible Missionary Institute. She had been a homemaker and also taught for many years at a variety of Christian schools in the surrounding communities. She had last worked as a customer service sales representative for APAC. Bonnie traveled around the United States singing and playing the piano with her brothers and sisters-in-law evangelical group, “The Gray Trio”. One of her favorite past times was her love of art. Bonnie was a member of the First Church of God.
Services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the First Church of God. Rev. Dennis McQuown officiated. Visitation was from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church. Cremation was accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
