Mrs. Cindy L. (Vedell) Boyer

Mrs. Cindy L. Boyer, 65, of Knoxville, Illinois died 8:09 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at home.

She was born December 19, 1953 in Galesburg, Illinois to Richard J. and Barbara Katzlberger Vedell.  She married her best friend and love of her life, Mark E. Boyer July 28, 1969 in Palmyra, Missouri.  He survives. 

Also surviving is her son, Mark C. (and Kris) Boyer of Alliance, Nebraska, her daughter, Tracey (and Toby) Whiteman of Andalusia, Illinois two brothers, Joe Vedell of Texas and Rick Vedell of Victoria, Illinois, two sisters, Cheryl (and Tony) Miller of Henderson, Illinois and Donna (and Butch) Brockway of Fort Myers, Florida, eight grandchildren, Madison Boyer, Baylie Boyer, Tyler Boyer, Chase Boyer, Payton Boyer, Gentry Whiteman, Jenson Whiteman and Jase Whiteman and a great grandchild, Jensen Peters.  She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Cindy worked for Maytag for 23 years.  She also enjoyed babysitting for several families for many years.  She attended Knoxville High School.  She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg.  Cindy’s spunky personality, smile, and laughter will be missed by many. 

As Cindy requested, cremation will be accorded.  There is no visitation or service scheduled.  Memorial in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made to www.h-p-w.com.
