Mrs. Diane Marie (Goodwin) Haraldson

Our beloved Diane Marie Haraldson, 59, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 of natural causes at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

She was born February 25, 1962 in Galesburg to Everett and Betty M. (VanDeMark) Goodwin.  She married Robert Haraldson October 10, 1992 in Galesburg.  He survives.

Also surviving are her four-legged children, Hope and Maggie, three brothers, Steve (and Mary) Goodwin of Cameron, Illinois, Everett L. (and Tracey) Goodwin of Galesburg, and Rodney Goodwin of Galesburg, two sisters, Cynthia Cummings of Peoria and Debra (and Al) Hubbard of Galesburg, a sister-in-law, Betty Goodwin of Galesburg, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Mike D. Goodwin, a niece, Melissa Diane Goodwin, and her cherished four-legged friend, Faith.

Diane graduated from Galesburg High School.  She first worked for Goodwin’s Market in Galesburg.  She also worked for Dick Blick Art Company, Brodie Meat Products and Mac’s Place.  To carry on the Goodwin tradition, during the holiday season, she made Christmas Wreaths with her brother, Everett.  She was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.  She enjoyed boating, fishing and gardening.  She loved spending time with her dogs.  Diane touched so many lives and made it a point to make her family and friends feel loved and important. She showed up when it mattered, had your back, and would help anyone in need. She had the biggest heart of gold and never missed a birthday or anniversary. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Private graveside service will be Monday, September 27, 2021 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
