Mrs. Donna Jane (Page) Beard

Mrs. Donna Jane Beard, 91, of Galesburg Illinois passed away at 6:18 am Monday, July 13, 2020 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

Donna was born March 11, 1929 in Prentice, Illinois the daughter of Delbert Darrell and Beatrice Grace Nance Page. She married John E. Beard on September 8, 1949 in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2002.

Donna is survived by her children, Julie Ann (Leonard) Bolon of Galesburg, Kathy (Greg) Loveless of Riverside, California, Linda Kay (Claude) Goodman of Galesburg David Michael (Jerilynn) Beard of Henderson, Illinois; her sister, Patsy Carson of Gerlaw, Illinois; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.  She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Beard, infant son, Mark Edward Beard, two brothers, Robert “Darrell” Page and Jerry Lee Page, her granddaughter, Stacy Loveless in 2017 and twin great granddaughters, Avery and Sophie.

Donna worked in the laundry department for Knox County Nursing Home for over 19 years. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Gerlaw Christian Church.  Donna had a love for arts and crafts. She enjoyed gathering with her friends for coloring book parties and mastering puzzles. Donna was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved listening to the Gaither Gospel Vocal Band. At her age she was known as an expert “texter”.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, July 20, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am Monday at the chapel. Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, seating will be limited and face masks will be required. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Full Gospel Church. Online condolences may be made at ww.h-p-w.com
