Mrs. Edna Norton Obituary

Edna C. Norton, 93, of Galesburg, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020, in Aperion Care Galesburg North.

She was born May 23, 1926, in Sulligent, Alabama, the daughter of W.H. and Leila (Goodson) Williams.  She married Robert Biggiam on July 22, 1941.  She later married Frank W. Norton on May 3, 1975, in Moline.  He preceded her in death September 30, 1977.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Biggiam of Galesburg; two sons, Michael Biggiam of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Harold Biggiam of Galesburg; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Gary Biggiam and Larry Biggiam; a grandaughter and a great grandson; three brothers, Frank Williams, Willie Williams, and Ernest Williams; and a sister, Norene McCrary.

Edna had lived in Galesburg since 1951.  She worked for The Pizza House in Galesburg for 34 years, beginning in 1957.  She retired in 1991.  Edna always enjoyed cooking for the holidays and family gatherings. She will be greatly missed.

Cremation will be accorded.  Private family graveside services will be scheduled at a later time in East Linwood Cemetery.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling arrangements for the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
