Mrs. Elizabeth Rose “Betsy” Miller, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 8:58 pm Monday, May 18, 2020 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Betsy was born June 24, 1932 in Oquawka, Illinois the daughter of Raymond M. and Lucy Zeh Blue. She married Robert A. Miller in Galesburg, January of 1952.

Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Charles Robert Miller of Galesburg and Marla Davis of Rio, Illinois; four grandchildren, Brent and Amanda Wilson of Dahinda, Crystal Wilson of Pensacola, Florida, Cori Davis of Galesburg and Cyle Davis of Rio; one great granddaughter, Karisa Wilson of Galesburg and her son-in-law, Rodney Wilson of Pensacola, Florida. Betsy loved all her granddogs and kitties. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Raymond Michael “Mike” Miller and a daughter, Linda C. Wilson.

Betsy worked as a LPN for 13 years at the Galesburg Mental Health Center. She graduated from Galesburg High School and was enrolled in the child development program at Carl Sandburg College. She completed the Nursing Program in St. Louis. Betsy was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church. She faithfully attended Sunday school and enjoyed her Bible study group, The Shining Vespers. She treasured her social time with her friends from the Galesburg Towers, meeting for coffee and stretch time. Betsy was known for her photography skills or lack thereof, always cutting of individual’s heads. She will be missed by many.

Cremation was accorded. The family will host an open house celebration of life from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the Lincoln Park Gazebo. Social distancing measures will be observed. Feel free to bring a chair if you are unable to stand. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
