Mrs. Jane M. (Foster) Duckwiler

Mrs. Jane M. Duckwiler, 87, of Galesburg passed away at 1:23 pm Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center.

Jane was born November 30, 1934, in Galesburg, the daughter of Joseph Eber and Doris (May) Foster. She married Charles “Chuck” A. Duckwiler on July 4, 1952, in Santa Maria, California. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2006.

Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Jena L. (Chester, Jr) Roate and Lei D. (J.P.) Scarff both of Galesburg; her sister, Jean May Sparling of Galesburg; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Jeff on November 28, 2014.

Jane worked for the Swedough Donut Shop on South Farnham for 14 years. She also worked for Bergners Department Store in Fine Jewelry for 12 years. Jane was a charter member of the Rainbow Girls and a member of the Violet Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Jane was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.

Jane’s wishes were to be cremated with a private family burial in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
