Mrs. JoAnn Davis, 80 of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at OSF Healthcare St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
She was born June 22, 1940 in Crystal City, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Effie (Morrow) Lingle. She married Roger A. Davis Sr. on December 10, 1960 in Hillsboro, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five sisters.
JoAnn is survived by one daughter, Ramona (Kory) Tinkham of Avon, Illinois; one son, Roger A. (Wendy) Davis Jr. of Sedgewickville, Missouri. JoAnn is survived by eight grandchildren, Shayli and Payton Florine, Lukas and Ty Tinkham, Joshua Davis, Dylan and Lindsey Giger, Trinity Davis, great-grandsons Levi Haertling, Elisha Davis, and five additional great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Janet Walker, Joette Nanney, and Joline Alexander, all of Festus, Missouri; and one brother, Joe Lingle of St. Louis, Missouri.
She graduated from Crystal City High School. She worked as an accounting clerk in the St. Louis area. She had lived in Galesburg since 2001 and was of the Baptist faith. JoAnn enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles of all kinds.
As she requested, cremation will be accorded. Private family services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto, Missouri. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting her family with arrangements.
