Mrs. Joan Bickert Hall, 91, of Knoxville, Illinois passed away at 7:55 am Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home.
Joan was born May 17, 1929 in Ames, Iowa the daughter of Frank A. and Vivian Grace (Johnson) Petersen. She married Robert James Hall on October 24, 1948 in Morrison, Illinois. After 58 years of marriage he preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.
Joan is survived by her five daughters, Bobbie Jo Hall of Wonder Lake, Illinois, Bicky Pickrel of Knoxville, Janice “JC” Caslin of Lake City, Florida, Tammie Hall of Live Oak, Florida and Toni Springer of Greeley, Colorado; her sister, Sally (Jim) Beswick of Flower Mound, Texas; four granddaughters, four grandsons; two great granddaughters; four great grandsons and one great grandson on the way.
Joan worked as the secretary for over 20 years for Graham/Dredge Insurance later known as Dredge Insurance. She graduated from Morrison High School and attended University of Illinois Galesburg Campus. Joan participated on bowling leagues in her younger years. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and Bingo. One of her favorite past times was watching Wheel of Fortune.
Joan’s wishes were to be cremated. A private interment of her and her husband, Bob will be in Knoxville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, 4130 Northwest Blvd., Davenport, Iowa, 52806.
