Mrs. Judy S. Spradlin

Judy S. Spradlin, 76, of Galesburg, passed away on Monday November 7, 2022 at 1:57 PM at OSF Saint Mary’s Medical Center.

Judy was born on February 16, 1946 in Beardstown to Russel Paul and Bernice (McDaniel) Miller. She married the love of her life Albert Spradlin Sr. and spent many blissful years together, he precedes her in death.

Judy is survived by her children, Albert Spradlin Jr., Jimmy Spradlin, Shirley Alderson, Tina Newby, and Jessica Sturgeon; her siblings, Bob Miller, and Donna Hayes; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren, and many more nieces and nephews.  Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, her daughter Helen Spradlin, and her siblings; Rolly Miller, Chuck Miller, Spencer Miller, Frankie Miller, Russel Miller, John Miller, and Helen Degroot.

Judy was born and raised in Beardstown. Eventually Judy moved to Jacksonville where she would graduate from Jacksonville High School, and obtain her Associate’s Degree in Applied Nursing from Memorial Behavioral Health Center. She would later settle with her husband Albert and raise her family of six, still practicing in the nursing field for over 35 years before retiring in 2000. Judy would move to Galesburg after the passing of her husband, and is where she spent the last five years of her life. Judy was a very dedicated mother and grandmother, never being too far from her grandchildren. She often loved spending time with her many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and when she wasn’t she was always checking in on her siblings with updates on how they were.

Cremation is being accorded. No services are being scheduled at this time. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
