Mrs. Laurie L. Cooper

Laurie Lynn Cooper, 64, of Galesburg, Illinois died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 4:20 pm.

She was born November 17, 1959 in Galesburg the daughter of Kenneth and Betty (Buss) Albert.

Laurie is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Cooper; a son, Ryan (Kimberly Clyden) Cooper; a grandson, Keegan Cooper; and a niece, Tricia White. She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Lindsey Erin Cooper in 2016; and a brother, Mike Albert.

Laurie attended Galesburg High School and later attended Southeastern Community College and Iowa Wesleyan. She would go on to work for Santa Fe Railway as a clerk for a time. Laurie also worked at various nursing homes in the Knox County area, caring for the elderly.

In her spare time, Laurie would volunteer at the Knox County Humane Society. She had a passion for animals, especially her own dogs. Laurie also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
