Mrs. Linda S. (Ryan) Schisler

Mrs. Linda Sue Schisler, 62 of St. Augustine, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Linda was born June 12, 1957 in Avon, the daughter of Grant E. and D. Wilamene “Willie” (Baker) Ryan.  She married Dan Schisler on June 5, 1977.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dan; one daughter, Lindsey (and Jason Peterson) Schisler of Avon; one brother, Tom (and Ginger) Ryan of Moweaqua, Oklahoma; and nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Gary Eugene Ryan, and one sister, Diane M. DeJaynes.

Linda graduated from Avon High School in 1975.  She worked as a teller at Tompkins State Bank in Avon and Abingdon for over 30 years.  She was a member of the St. Augustine Christian Church.  She loved to ride with Dan on their motorcycle.  She enjoyed making candy.  Everyone who knows Linda, knew that she loved her family, her friends and customers.  She had a lot of pride and never wanted to be a worry to people or ask for any help.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel.  Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at chapel.
