Mrs. Lois Eileen (Sargeant) Condreay

Mrs. Lois Eileen Condreay, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois died 9:57 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

She was born July 16, 1933 in Galesburg to Kenneth L. and Delilah Mae (Wade) Sargeant.  She married Robert E. Condreay, May 21, 1954 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death October 6, 2013.

Surviving is a son, David (and Debbie) Condreay of Plant City, Florida, two daughters, Lois (and Del) Mecum and Ginger Ogden of Riverview, FL, three granddaughters, Kisha (and Tim) Peel, Julie (and Andy) Dennis, and Ashley (and Chris) Campbell, and a grandson, Jacob (and Sheri) Mecum, five great grandchildren, Aubrey, Madison, Emily, Chase and Delanie, a brother, Jim Sargeant of Galesburg, and two sisters, Janice (and Albert) Westfall and Linda Thurman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Roberta, a sister, Carolyn, and nine brothers, Bob, Delbert, Larry, Sonny, Ed, Clyde, Mike, Johnny and Rick Sargeant. 

Lois worked for Gross Brothers Manufacturing Company, Knox Laundry, Motel 6, Karmel Korn and Orange Julius, all in Galesburg, during her lifetime. She enjoyed doll collecting, M&M figurines, loved horses and harness racing, classic country music, watching her husband play his guitar, visiting the casino, doing crafts and crocheting with her sisters.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday following the visitation at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate.  Memorials may be made to RVR Horse Rescue, rvrhorserescue.org  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
