Mrs. Marcia M. (Pople) Marshall

Mrs. Marcia M. Marshall, 67, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at OSF Saint Mary’s Medical Center.

She was born December 19, 1956, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Otis and Myrtle (Henry) Pople. She married Edward Marshall on December 7, 1973, and spent 50 long and loving years building their beautiful family together.

Marcia is survived by her husband Edward; her daughters Penny Oelberg, and Stacey Marshall; her brothers Roger Kilpatrick, and Stephen Pople; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many more nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Eldon (Peggy) Kilpatrick, Phillip Pople, and Ronnie Henry.

Marcia was born and raised in Galesburg. She grew up on a farm until the age of 14, where she learned to care for and barrel race horses with her family. After graduating high school, Marcia went on to attend Carl Sandburg College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, later on graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In her free time Marcia enjoyed crocheting, and shopping online. However, what she was best known for was her deep love and admiration for her family.

At Marcia’s request, cremation will be accorded. A celebration of Marcia’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
