Mrs. Marion Esta (Pete) Brown

Mrs. Marion Esta (Pete) Brown, 86, of Galesburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday January 2, 2023, at 5:34 AM.

Marion was born to Frank and Marion Evelena (Corbett) Pete on June 9, 1936 in Cochranton Pennsylvania.

Marion is survived by her Great grandchildren Wyatt Mayor and Braxton Brown, and her daughter in law Suzie Huber. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Dale Brown, and her grandson Justin Brown.

Marion grew up in Sandy Lakes Pennsylvania, graduating from Lakeview High School in 1955. She later moved to Galesburg, working for Maytag as a line inspector for 31 years before retiring in 2004. Marion loved watching either the Saint Louis Cardinals, or old Nascar races with her favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Sr. And if she wasn’t at home you could find her out on the town at her on of her favorite places to eat.

As Per Marion’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. A celebration of Marion’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
