Mrs. Marlene "Lynn" Hackmann Obituary

Mrs. Marlene “Lynn” C. Hackmann, 90, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Seminary Manor.

She was born July 26, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Max and Elsa (Worm) Gregor. She married Rolf Hackmann in 1955.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Rolf; Two sons, Heinz Hackmann of Dallas, Texas and Mike Hackmann of Galesburg; three grandchildren, Audrey McNeill, Max Hackmann and Dylan Hackmann and two great grandchildren, Carter McNeill and Parker McNeill. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lynn was a homemaker and attended Bradley University in Peoria where she met her husband, Rolf. Rolf’s job took them to live in several European countries, including Germany, Austria and Portugal. She loved to travel, cook, arrange flower bouquets and home decorating. She spoke several languages and enjoyed learning about the history and cultures of the countries she visited.
