Mrs. Marsha K. Wixforth, 72, of Galesburg, Illinois died 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
She was born March 11, 1950, to Joseph E. and Nora E. (Sharp) Baker. She married Richard L. “Ric” Wixforth, Sr., June 28, 1981, in Herman, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband of over 41 years, Ric Wixforth of Galesburg, her son, Shane Clark of Peoria, Illinois, two brothers, Jerry (and Michelle) Baker of Abingdon, Illinois and Charles (and Janet) Baker of Cumberland, Wisconsin, a sister, Joann (and Bill) Brier of Thousand Oaks, California, and her grandson, Cory M. Clark of Abingdon. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marsha attended Abingdon Schools. She worked for Maytag Corporation in Galesburg and later was a School Bus Driver for Abingdon School District #217 for several years. She enjoyed camping with her husband and loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandson, Cory.
As Marsha requested, cremation will be accorded. A private graveside service will be March 11, 2023, in Abingdon Cemetery. Pastor Rick Warren will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
