Mrs. Patricia J. "Pat" (Bushnell) Bushnell

Mrs. Patricia J. “Pat” Bushnell, 81, of Galesburg, Illinois died 9:20 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg. 

She was born December 2, 1941, in Galesburg to Ralph W. and M. Doris (Stegall) Bushnell, Sr.  She married Dan R. Brenstrom, Sr. 

Surviving is a son, Dan R. Brenstrom, II of Manitou Springs, Colorado, a daughter, Mary Jo (and Ivan) Line of Galesburg, a chosen daughter, Connie (and Jeremy Cassiday) Simmons of Monmouth, Illinois, a brother, Charles “Bob” Bushnell of Alexis, Illinois, a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bushnell of Gerlaw, Illinois, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Bushnell, Jr. 

Pat graduated from United Township High School in 1960.  She worked as a veterinary assistant at the Monmouth Small Animal Hospital for several years and retired in 2003.  She enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles, and making jewelry for friends and family.  When she was younger, she also enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Most of all Pat loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

As Pat requested, cremation will be accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at The Kensington Ballroom, 311 E. Simmons St., Galesburg. .  A private cremation burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Illinois.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is proud to assist the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www-h-p-w.com.
