Mrs. Patricia Dianne (Rupert) Coe

Mrs. Patricia Dianne Coe, 68, of Galesburg passed away at 3:25 am Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center.

Patricia was born June 4, 1951 in Galesburg the daughter of Carl Eugene and Lawanda Jane Patterson Rupert. After being together since 1985 she married Gregory J. Coe in 2003.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory of Galesburg; her two daughters, Monica (Daniel) Van Liew of Tampa, Florida and Kari (Todd Caulkins) Laughlin of Peoria, Illinois; two step sons, Adam (Suzie) Coe of Louisville, Kentucky and Aaron (Jaimie) Coe of Sandy Creek, New York; her brother, Robert Dean (Linda) Rupert of Galesburg; ten grandchildren, Alex, Anna, Marshall, Madiline, Sam, Ian, Silas, Sadie, Gabriel and Elliot and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Don Rupert.

Patricia worked as an LPN and later an RN for over 40 years at numerous nursing homes, Cottage Hospital, Knox County Health Department and Mary Davis Home. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1969 and the Carl Sandburg Nursing Program.

Patricia was a very compassionate person, she loved caring for animals-dogs and cats. She was an excellent cook and was a collector of cookbooks. Patricia loved listening to music, singing and dancing. She was an avid reader. Patricia loved being with her family especially her grandchildren.

Patricia’s wishes were to be cremated with a private family graveside service in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or Guardian Angel Humane Society.
