Mrs. Pauline Faye (Sandberg) Durham

Mrs. Pauline Durham, 96, of Moline, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at her home.

Pauline was born on November 10, 1929, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Bernhard (Ben) Sandberg and Faye Elizabeth Shanks. She married the love of her life, Charles Durham, on June 21, 1952, in Galesburg, Illinois. Her husband preceded her in death in 1999.

Pauline is survived by her son, Joseph C Durham; and her daughter Ann Elizabeth Osborne (William); four grand-children, Jonathan Osborne (Cassie), Jane Patterson (David),Luke Osborne (Serena),Grace Osborne; six great grand-children, Bryn Osborne, Ben Osborne, Eleanor Hile, Henry Hile, Nova Osborne, Quinn Osborne. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Duane Sandberg.

Pauline always noted that she entered the Lutheran Hospital School for nurses on October 13, 1948 and graduated October 13, 1950, a member of the Class 1950C. After working in several locations in Illinois moved to Moline, IL. Thereafter the Class 1950C members, living in Moline, met informally each month for fellowship. Pauline was the last surviving member of that group.

She always enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the admiration was mutual.

In accordance with Pauline’s wishes a graveside service will be held for the immediate family.
