Mrs. Robin C. (Engle) Boyd

Mrs. Robin C. Boyd, 49, of Galesburg, Illinois died 11:48 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born August 6, 1971 in Galesburg to Robert W. and Billie L. (Bogeart) Engle.  She married Ron Boyd, Jr. September 3, 2010 in Galesburg.  He survives. 

Also surviving are two daughters, Taylor Durant of Edwardsville, Illinois and Addison Boyd of Galesburg, two sisters, Becky Engle of Galesburg and Rachel (and Tom) Crouch of Galesburg, a sister-in-law, Jennifer (and Mike) Miller of Bethany, Missouri, three nephews, Bobby (and Lindy) Engle of Coralville, Iowa, Nick Luna of Davenport, Iowa, and Joey Crouch of Galesburg, and two nieces, Sarah Finegan of Wataga, Illinois, and Emily Miller of Bethany, Missouri.  She is preceded in death by her parents. 

Robin graduated from Knoxville High School in 1989.  She received her associate’s degree from Carl Sandburg College, attended Monmouth College and received her bachelor’s degree from Chamberlain School of Nursing.  She served in the United States Army for eight years.  She was a nurse for 13 years working at different facilities but OSF St. Mary Medical Center for the last several years.  She was a member of Northwood Community Church in Galesburg and a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Monmouth College.  Robin had a contagious smile and laughter and will be missed by many. 

As Robin requested, cremation will be accorded.  Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the family for a charity to be selected at a later date.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
