Mrs. Sharol Jeanette (Connour) Rhea

Mrs. Sharol Jeanette Rhea, 80, of Knoxville, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 AM on August 14, 2021, at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.

Sharol was born on March 26, 1941, in Fall Creek Twp., Illinois, the daughter of Virgil and Emma (Baker) Connour. Along the way, she married Roger “Bud” Rhea, in 1964, Galesburg. He preceded her in death in 1988.

Sharol is survived by her daughter, Dawn Rhea of Knoxville; her sister, Barbara (Clarence) Neal of Galesburg; her grandson, Zackery Rhea of Knoxville; her sister-in-law, Dee Connour of Galesburg and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger, and her siblings, Virgil Gerald and Edna Mae, whom both died when they were infants, Delpha Moore, Emily Foster, Lewis Connour, Robert Connour, James Connour, Lee Connour.

Sharol graduated from Galesburg High School in 1959 and went on to work at Intrastate Telephone Company for 11 years and later began working at Admiral/Maytag Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. During her free time, Sharol enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.

Cremation has been accorded. A Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, Illinois, with Chaplain Jordan Knight officiating the service.
