Ms. Tessa J. (Ayers) West

Tessa J. West, 38, of Marseilles, formerly of Galesburg, died at 12:24 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020, at home.

She was born May 9, 1981, in Galesburg, the daughter of John William and Schelia (Bowman) Ayers.  She married John West and together they had two children.

She is survived by her mother, Schelia Ayers of Galesburg; two children, Gavin and Johnna West; two brothers, Galen Ayers and Tom Edwards; three sisters, Genea Bouchard, Ginger Ayers, and Desiree Conrad; her companion, Cody Marfell; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Tessa was of Methodist faith.  She loved her cats and the Green Bay Packers.  Tessa enjoyed spending time with her family and her children.  Tessa was funny and comical; she was a giving, caring person with a huge heart.  In keeping with her generous spirit, she was a tissue donor in death.
