Nancy Jane Hitz

72 of 301 S. East St. Lot 69, died at 12:50 pm Friday, April 30, 2004 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born on February 11, 1932 in Warsaw, IL to Leonard and Frances Arnold Miller. She married Karl Hitz on September 9, 1950 in Denver, IL. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Kathy Stanley of Avon, Syrita Reed of Galesburg and Connie (and Everett) White of Marietta; three sons, Melvin (and Barb) Hitz of Roseville, Gene (and Dee) Hitz of Abingdon and Allan (and Kathy) Hitz of Roberts, IL; three brother, Hank (and Gloria) Miller and Jerry Miller both of Warsaw, August (and Pam) Miller of Smithfield; one sister, Vera Bright of Macomb; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sharon Carpenter, a granddaughter, two brothers, Johnnie Miller who died in the Vietnam conflict and Walter Lynn Miller, and one infant brother. She worked as a nursing assistant at nursing homes in Prairie City, Macomb, Roseville and Abingdon. She had lived in Abingdon since 1994. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at the Abingdon Cemetery. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 é
