I am sorry that weather concerns kept me from attending either the visitation and/or the funeral. (I had hoped to attend both). I served as pastor of the Avon Federated Church for the entire time that Amy was serving at the Avon United Methodist Church. Amy and I worked together on many worship services and projects together during Amy's time here in Avon. Then, when the Abingdon and Avon school districts merged, the pastors of the two communities also decided to work together on projects. Thus, Amy and I both served together on the Abingdon Area Ministerial Alliance. I found out--(early in Amy's tenure in Avon) that Amy and my wife (Mary Woods Prain) had also participated in the same church youth group activities in Wataga when they were both in their teens and/or early 20s. They knew some of the same people. It was a joy working and serving with Amy in so many different ways. She will be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to Amy's family members and friends.
