Patricia Ginther Obituary

77, a resident of the Care Center of Abingdon since 1985, died at 6:43 pm Monday, April 14, 2003 at the Care Center. She was born January 10, 1926 in Galesburg to Vernon and Laura Victor Rosenberg. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Rosenberg. She married Delbie Lamar Hare in 1944 in Galesburg. She later married Virgil Ginther August 27, 1964 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1985.. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne (and Ray) Archer of RR Abingdon and Penny, (and Roy) Hedden of Galesburg; one son, Timothy Hare of California; five grandchildren; one sister, Betty Stevens of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, Glen (and Gwen) Gabbert of Abingdon and Danny (and Joyce) Gabbert of Monmouth. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. She had lived in Galesburg most of her life where she graduated from the former Browns Business College. She worked in the admissions office at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for several years before retiring. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg before entering the Care Center. Cremation was accorded. A memorial service will be at 1:30 pm Monday at the Abingdon United Methodist Church with Rev. Ted A. Hartley officiating. Burial of Cremains will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Care Center of Abingdon Activity Department.
