Pauline Ashley

89, 1384 N. Henderson St., Galesburg, died at 12:30 PM Monday, March 14, 2005 in the Care Center of Abingdon. She was born September 17, 1915 in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Grace Kyle Icenogle. She married Edward L. Ashley on March 25, 1931 in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1986. She is survived by 2 sons, Larry (and Della) Ashley and Darrel Ashley, both of Abingdon, a daughter, Janet (and Tom) Prior, London Mills, IL, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and 2 step brothers, Howard Icenogle and Clarence Icenogle, both of Beardstown, IL. She was preceded in death by one brother. She had worked as an inspector at the former Blue Bell Factory in Abingdon for several years. She was a homemaker. She was of Christian faith. Graveside services 11 AM Friday in Abingdon Cemetery. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 AM Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Memorials can be made to OSF Hospice or American Cancer Society.
