Peggy L. Lankford

55, of Berwick, died at 6:35 pm Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was born on July 30, 1948 in Galesburg to Nelson and Ethel Chapman Craig. Surviving are one daughter, Lori (and Kurt) Emken of Yates City; one son, John ( and Angie) Lankford of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Don (and Sue) Craig of RR Abingdon; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Emken, Erin Emken, Bayli Emken, Chase Lankford & Keelee Lankford. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson. She had lived in the Abingdon area all her life and graduated from Abingdon High School in 1967. She had worked in food services at Monmouth College for 18 years and as a certified nurse aide at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was of the Methodist faith. Cremation will be accorded. No services will be held. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital Midwest Affiliate- Methodist Medical Center 221 N.E. Glen Oak Ave. Peoria, IL 61636 or to Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central IL 723 N. Bruns Lane Springfield, IL 62702.
