Preston E. Klapp

Preston E. Klapp, 21, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Peoria, Illinois.

Preston was born July 24, 2003, in Galesburg, the son of Jeremy D. Klapp and Sarah Deutscher.

He graduated from Galesburg High School in 2021 and went on to work as a sub-contractor mechanic for John Deere. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and four wheeling.

Preston survives by his father, Jeremy Klapp of Galesburg; his mother, Sarah Deutscher; twin sisters, Lucy and Sydney Deutscher both of Millington, Tennessee; his paternal grandparents, David L. (Patricia) Klapp of Galesburg and Mary D. Hilton of Galesburg; and his maternal grandparents, Jeannie Cook of Millington, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Alfred Deutscher.

Friends and family are invited for a gathering from 4:00-6:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2025, Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. A closing prayer will be prayed at 6:00 pm. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to his family to establish a memorial fund at a later date.
