RESCHEDULED, Shirlee Joan Olinger

65 of Abingdon died at 10:45 pm Monday, November 27, 2006 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born on May 3, 1941 in Avon, IL to Everett and Evelyn Manlove Sorrells. She married Terry Andrews. She later married Richard Olinger. He preceded her in death in January 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill and Donnie Sorrells. Surviving are two sons, Troy (and Laura) Andrews of Abingdon and Todd (and Gayle) Andrews of Abingdon; three brothers, Gary (and Deb) Sorrells of Byron, IL, Randy and Mike Sorrells both of Peoria; two sisters, Dottie (and Gary) Clevenger of East Galesburg and Marilyn (and Melvin) Hendricks of Rushville, IL; two sister-in-laws, Virginia (and Sam) Whiteneck of Viola, IL and Sherry Sorrells of Ipava, IL; one granddaughter, Lyndee Andrews; five stepgrandchildren, Ashley Burnham, Brandon Larson, Amber Courson, Whitney Courson, Brock Benhan; one step great grandchild, Raelynn Hobby. She graduated from Avon High School in 1959. She worked at Maytag Corp. in Galesburg for 17 years. She moved to California in 1980. She graduated from Beauty School in Hollywood, CA and worked as a hairdresser in California. She returned to live in Abingdon in August of 2006. Her hobbies included doing crafts, attending car races and enjoying spending time with family and friends. Cremation will be accorded. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 pm Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel with a prayer service at 2:30 pm led by Rev. Milton Marquith. Private family committal of cremains will be a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
