Rebecca Sue (Wall) Anderson

Rebecca Sue Anderson, 67, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Allure of Galesburg. 

She was born January 8, 1956, in Galesburg to Robert and Nora (Wall) Anderson. 

Surviving is her daughter, Roni Lynn (and Jason) Hunt of Rising Fawn, Georgia, her six grandchildren, Nora (and Steven) Mann, Mariah Harrison, Colton Cooper all of Hoopeston, Illinois, Shelby Hunt of Vidor, Texas, Andrea Gowler, and Chase Baldwin both of Galesburg, six great grandchildren, Isabela Mann, Piper Mann, Raven Mann, Haigen Gowler, Bentlee Cooper, and Karrma Rivera.  She is also survived by her siblings, Ruthann Reardon, Ellen Showalter, Leota Hensly, John Showalter, David Armatrout, Fran Bradley,  and Michael Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Tammie Sue Sloan and two brothers, George Showalter and Rodger Showalter. 

Rebecca loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.  When she was not enjoying family time you could always find her either on a bank doing some fishing or sitting by a campfire listening to some of her favorite music.  “Rebecca Sue Anderson, we love and miss you”. 

As Rebecca requested, cremation will be accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
