Mr. Richard L. “Dick” Hall, 82, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021, in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
He was born June 17, 1939, in Galesburg, to Rosco and Margaret (Radestock) Hall. Along the way, he married Patricia Pattison.
Surviving is a son, Andrew Lee Hall of Galesburg, three daughters, Lori (and Bradley) Hunter of Cameron, Illinois, Kristy (and Jim) Thurman of Galesburg and Connie (and Ed) Stephan of Kansas City, Kansas, a brother, Cecil Hall, a sister-in-law, Barb Hall of Galesburg, three grandchildren, Brittney Vochatzer, Jason Hall, and Shannon Ovalos, and four great grandchildren, Charlie Hunter, Ezra Ovalos, Otis Ovalos, and Myles Vochatzer. He was preceded in death by his parents, a special friend, Victoria Bice, a brother, Charles Hall and a granddaughter, Amber Hall.
Dick worked for McFall Monument Company doing artwork and stone lettering since he was 18 years old. He loved to work and keep busy. He enjoyed playing darts and was on several dart leagues in the area.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg, with Chaplain Jordan Knight officiating the service. Memorials contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to the family.
