Robert Anderson Obituary

79 of Abingdon, died at 3:00 pm Thursday, October 21, 2004 at his home. He was born on November 16, 1924 near Abingdon to Glen O. and Maude Trulock Anderson. He married Frances Tracy in 1945. He later married Maryetta Tessier Ross in May of 1963. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bobby (and Wilma) Anderson of Bushnell, C.G. "Chip" Anderson of Ellisville; two daughters, Georgetta (and Tom) Helms of Galesburg and Pam (and Tony) Allen of Abingdon; one brother, Billy C. Anderson of Avon; his stepmother, Judith Anderson of Maquon; one half-brother, Glen Anderson of Ft. Louis, WA; one half-sister, Marjorie Taflinger of Salem AR; two stepbrothers, Curtis Miller of Wataga and Joe Miller of Roseville; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a daughter-in-law, Linda Anderson. He was raised in the St. Augustine and Abingdon areas and graduated from Avon High School. He was a member of the St. Augustine Christian Church. He worked at Maytag for 32 ½ years, last working as a forklift driver in the warehouse. He was a lifetime member of the Knox County Sportsman Club. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Monday at the Abingdon Cemetery. Rev. Paul Dinges will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Sunday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon. Memorials may be made to the family.
