Ronnie Lee Hammond

Ronnie Lee Hammond, 67, of Galesburg, died at 5:36 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2025, at home.

He was born December 11, 1957, in Avon, the son of Orrin Clifford and Donna (Izer) Hammond. He married Mabel I. Adams on June 6, 1985, in Knox County.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Mabel; two daughters, Yvonne (Arthur) Struble, Kerry (Chas) Milson; a son, Trevor (Crystal) Nordstrom; a sister, Paula Hammond Sargeant; two grandchildren; and six stepchildren. His parents preceded him in death, along with siblings, Clifford, Allen, Bonnie, Cheryl, and a brother in childhood.

After graduating from high school, Ronnie served in the United States Air Force. He worked on oil rigs in Texas at one time. He enjoyed watching T.V.
