Ronnie Thompson

65 of Buchanan, TN, formerly of Abingdon died at 1:50 pm Thursday, September 8, 2005 at his home. He was born January 20, 1940 in Oregon County, near Alton, Missouri to Edward and Nellie Delana Thompson. Surviving are one son, Michael (and Dinah) Thompson of Fredericksburg, VA; three sisters, Betty (and Dave) Moser of Abingdon, Ruth (and Robert) Bundren and Donna (and Butch) Pickrel of Galesburg; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sherry Thompson Larson and an infant brother. He graduated from Abingdon High School in 1957. He had lived in Buchanan the past three years and in Murfreesboro, TN since 1982. He worked for the Jefferson Smurfit Corp. in Galesburg and Murfreesboro, TN as a supervisor retiring in January of 2002. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Rev. Raymond McLaren will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 é
